If you are a beginning camper, and want to find a tent, it’s can be a very confusing with so many different tent options out there. This is a review of the Marmot Thor, which is a 2 man tent.

This is a very roomy tent that delivers plenty of space and comfort. The Marmot Thor is a four season tent – also called an expedition tent. There are some nice ventilation systems spread around through the tent and the meshes. The meshes around the top help to prevent mosquitoes from entering the tent. There is a very handy feature where you can pull out some cords inside the tent to hang things on.

The aluminum construction of the tent is very sturdy. One significant feature of the aluminum construction is that the sides of the tent are vertical and this makes the floor quite space efficient. The tent itself if made from firm waterproof material that lasts, so there is very little chance of water getting inside the tent. Another feature is that the tent has a big window that allows you to see what’s happening outside.

The tent has plenty of guidelines on the exterior. This allows the tent to be quite stable in high wind situations. The reflective tabs outside the tent allow you to find it easily in the dark. There are buckles connected to the outside too that will allow you to adjust the tent for tightness.  What makes this tent unique from other tents is that there is an adjustable ventilation system at the top that lets you open and close it as you need.

In short, the Marmot Thro Pro expedition tent is a well rounded tent. It offers plenty of useful features for anyone who plans to head into rough weather.
